For the past five years I’ve been attending writer’s conferences, trying to dip a toe into other forms of writing. Last summer I gave in to a group of characters that were living in my head rent free. It’s time they got out and started supporting themselves. This summer I entered the first three chapters of The Heir in the Foundations contest for unpublished manuscripts.

The Heir, an urban fantasy featuring Sophie Penn and her found family took second-place. I truly did not expect that. This is my first effort at writing a full-length novel.

Now this bunch of extroverts have taken over. They're demanding that I finish their book and actually do something with it.

Keep an eye on this page for further news about The Heir.
